Job Description:
POAH Communities, a recognized leader in the affordable housing
industry, is currently seeking a Property Maintenance Technician
for our multi-family residential units. In this role, you will
serve as a key contributor in maintaining the physical integrity of
our properties, ensuring a stable, safe, and well-maintained
environment for our residents. This position provides not just a

Perform routine and emergency maintenance of all kinds, including
plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work across various
properties. Inspect buildings and other structures to determine
functional systems and detect malfunctions needing repair. Respond
to maintenance requests and repairs by tenants timely and
professionally. Execute preventative maintenance programs that
minimize equipment failures and costly replacements. Participate in
the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repair plaster and drywall;
paint building structures. Maintain records of scheduled
maintenance procedures and compliance activities. Ensure compliance
with all safety and security protocols. Proficiency in repairing
plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems. Ability to
effectively communicate with tenants, supervisors, and contractors.
Experience in using hand, electrical, and power tools safely and
effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills for maintaining records. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification
in trade skills such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC strongly
preferred. Valid driver’s license may be required.
