Job Description:
Member Services Representative A well-established company in
Dayton, OH is looking for a Member Services Representative with
customer service, Teller, and call center experience for a
temp-to-hire position. Position Details: Candidates needed for a
member services representative in Dayton , OH. This is a 1st shift
position Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays and a
starting pay of $16.63-$20 based on experience. You can also
receive PeopleFirst Staffing bonus of $50 for a referral bonus when
you refer a friend after they complete 80 hours! Position overview:
The Member Service Representative II is responsible for delivering
exceptional service to members by performing a wide range of
financial transactions and account services. This role supports the
mission and values through professional, accurate, and courteous
service while identifying opportunities to promote products and
services that meet members' financial needs. Key Responsibilities:
Conducts routine transactions for personal and business accounts,
including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cash advances, and
loan or Visa payments. Opens new accounts and safe deposit boxes
(where applicable). Manages the processing of deceased member
accounts. Accepts and processes new loan and Visa applications,
disbursements, and payoffs. Handles advanced account maintenance
such as fraud disputes, account conversions, adding joint owners or
beneficiaries, and wire transfers. Issues money orders and
cashier’s checks, maintaining accurate inventory. Applies knowledge
of compliance tools including OFAC, EFunds, and TrueChecks
appropriately. Balances cash drawer and ATM; supports branch-wide
cash balancing activities. Provides knowledgeable guidance to
members about products and services. Resolves member concerns and
inquiries through effective problem-solving and follow-up. Serves
as a primary contact for members in-person and via telephone;
routes calls and messages as necessary. Completes reports and
required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Actively
cross-sells products and services to meet or exceed referral and
sales goals. Maintains knowledge of NCUA insurance guidelines. May
be required to obtain and maintain NMLS registration. Performs
additional duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience:
Minimum of 12 months in a financial institution. At least 6 months
of cash handling experience. Must have bank teller experience
Demonstrated customer service experience. Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional
demeanor and presentation. Proficient with standard computer
applications and office equipment. Accurate with math and currency
handling. Demonstrated leadership and role model behavior. Work
Environment & Physical Requirements Standard office environment
with moderate noise levels. Must be able to stand for extended
periods, and perform bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 lbs
regularly. Requires typical vision and hearing acuity and the
