POSITION SUMMARY The CTE Instructor is primarily responsible for teaching CBI, organizing events to expose all students to college and career options, building and sustaining an active advisory board, and developing post-secondary readiness plans with students. The CTE Instructor will support the academic development of each student to master the competencies as outlined in the CTE course standards and Focus Learning Academy course curriculums with the goal of preparing all students for college and career success. The CTE Instructor reports to the CTE Director and Building Director. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with students ages 16-21 who are identified as disadvantaged (academically, economically, or both) and who have barriers to achieving academic and career success Provide direct instruction to CBI students and online instruction to other CTE students Prepare learners to succeed in various career fields and postsecondary options Support career development for all learners Serve as advisor of a CTE student organization Establish relationships with parents, students, business professionals, and community Build and sustain an active CTE Advisory Board Organize extracurricular activities as approved by the CTE Director or Director Control and guide student behavior in compliance with school policy Ensure necessary and reasonable measures are taken to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities agencies Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Certification in Integrated Business (or other CTE area) with a CBI endorsement or ability to obtain a long-term substitute license Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
