the marketplace. Job Summary: The Distribution Industrial Engineer
plays a critical role in optimizing operational performance across
Supply Technologies’ North American distribution and branch
network. This position focuses on engineering best in class
processes, improving material flow, enhancing labor efficiency, and
supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen safety, quality,
and productivity. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical
capability, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to
influence teams at all levels to drive sustainable operational
excellence. We are seeking a talented Distribution Industrial
Engineer to join our team. The Distribution Industrial Engineer is
responsible for the following: Responsibilities: EWM/WM Support 20%
Support configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of SAP
EWM/WM processes across all managed facilities. Collaborate with
IT, DC, and Branch teams to ensure system integrity, accuracy, and
alignment with engineered processes. Assist in training,
documentation, and adoption of system updates and best practices.
Continuous Improvement & Analysis– 50% Identify inefficiencies and
lead Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives Lead the design,
optimization, and continuous improvement of distribution and
warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput
across our North American network. Conduct time studies, capacity
modeling, and data driven assessments to ensure optimal resource
planning and network performance. Analyze operational workflows,
material flow, labor utilization, and facility layouts to identify
improvement opportunities and implement engineered solutions.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align teams on process
enhancements Develop and maintain engineered labor standards,
process documentation, and performance metrics to support
operational excellence. Lead root cause analysis and corrective
action initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and
cost efficiency. Directly Supports the North American Operations
Leadership Sustain 5s Culture with periodic compliance audits
Promoting and ensuring compliance of Leader Standard Work at all
levels Quality Management – 30% Ensure that all engineered
processes, layouts, and workflows are built to prevent defects,
reduce variation, and support consistent quality outcomes.
Incorporate poka yoke (error proofing) principles and quality
checkpoints into new or revised processes. Partner with Quality
teams to ensure that standards are clear, measurable, and aligned
with customer and regulatory requirements. Conduct structured
problem-solving using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, or
fault tree analysis. Build dashboards, reports, or visual
management tools that help operations teams monitor quality
performance. Ensure compliance with ISO, customer, and internal
quality standards Must Haves: You have a bachelor’s degree in
industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations
Engineering, or a related technical field. You bring 2–5 years of
experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or supply
chain engineering roles. You’re skilled in process mapping,
workflow design, time studies, and continuous improvement
methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S). You’re comfortable
analyzing large data sets and using tools such as Excel, Power BI,
SQL, or similar platforms to drive insights. You have experience
developing engineered labor standards, SOPs, and processing
documentation. You understand warehouse management systems (WMS),
material handling equipment, and distribution center operations.
You’re energized by solving complex problems and implementing
practical, scalable solutions. You communicate clearly, collaborate
effectively, and can influence teams at all levels. You’re
adaptable, hands on, and willing to travel up to 50% to Supply
Technologies facilities, customer sites, and project locations. WE
Value: Experience in multi-site distribution or supply chain
environments, especially within high volume or fast paced
operations. Hands on experience implementing Lean tools (Kaizen
events, value stream mapping, 5S, standard work). Familiarity with
warehouse automation technologies, material handling equipment, and
layout optimization. Working knowledge of WMS, ERP, or inventory
management systems (SAP) Ability to build simulation models or
capacity analyses using tools like AutoCAD, FlexSim, or similar
platforms. Strong project management skills with experience leading
cross functional initiatives from concept to execution.
Demonstrated ability to train and influence operations teams at all
levels. Excellent communication, presentation, and management
skills. Prior experience supporting new facility launches, network
redesigns, or large-scale process transformations. Comfort working
in both office and warehouse environments, with travel up to 50%.
