Process Engineer - Wire Saw - Springfield--
Responsible for the performance of assigned manufacturing processes focused on wire slicing silicon material.-- This includes capacity, throughput, yield, reliability, and safety.-- Develop, lead, and implement projects that improve these process metrics.------ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-----Become the subject matter expert for assigned processes
-----Develop, demonstrate and define the optimal conditions for your assigned processes
-----Define process data requirements and statistical process control limits
-----Perform risk assessments and mitigation plans
-----Understand yield, capability, and cost of assigned processes
-----Convert business level objectives into improvement plans for assigned processes
-----Evaluates existing manufacturing methods and sequences and recommends/implements improvements that increase efficiency, reduce cost, reduce waste, improving safety etc.
-----Write technical reports, work instructions and present status and results as required.
-----Engage with other engineering team members and provide cross functional support as needed.
-----Develop processes to improve key performance indicators.
-----Lead design of experiments (DOEs), tests, measurements, and provide data driven recommendations.
-----Apply lean manufacturing concepts and 5S.
-----Perform other duties as assigned by department management. -- -- Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. -----Bachelor or Masters of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Material, or Chemical Engineering
-----5+ years of experience with process engineering, wire saw/slicing experience preferred
-----Knowledge of machining and material removal operations, specifically of brittle materials
-----Experience in Lean technologies in a manufacturing environment including advanced problem solving/6-sigma skills
-----Demonstrated skill in process development, SPC, FMEA, and out of control action plans
-----Demonstrated ability to analyze process data, including capability and yield
-----Demonstrated ability to improve process metrics such as cost, yield, and capacity
-----Basic understanding of PLC and OPI (operator interface) controls
-----Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment
-----Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
-----Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision
-----Competent with MSOffice Suite products and advance skills in Microsoft Excel
-----Statistical analysis software experience, preferably JMP or Minitab Equipment Operated: -----Standard Office Equipment

The employee regularly is required to lift up to 10 pounds.-- The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.-- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.-- The noise level in the environment is moderate.
