DescriptionThe Manager, Ticketing Business Operations is responsible for all box office operations supporting a two-theatre, multi-purpose facility and community creative arts and conference center. This includes, but is not limited to advertising for, and distributing and collecting monies for tickets to various events. Additionally responsible for preparing and distributing various reports as required by organizational policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for preparing event invoices and settlement of payments to renters and promoters.RELATIONSHIPS AND CUSTOMERSGeneral public Arts groups and other renters Box office

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1 Coordinate all accounting activities within the box office.
2. Develop and implements box office policies and procedures.
3. Develop and implement all ticketing and customer service procedures for events at the Performing Arts Center and other designated sites to ensure quality customer service. Develop and maintain online ticketing site.
4. Oversee and participate in the handling, selling, and distribution of tickets and other materials for all internal and external events at Performing Arts Center and other designated sites.
5. Make deposits as needed; reconcile cash, sales reports, and audits.
6 Supervise and execute set up and format of events in ticketing system.
7. Assign locations, supervise mailings, maintain mailing list and credit accounts, and keep other pertinent records, including all ticketing for performances, events and special campaigns.
8. Assist with pricing, scaling of houses and ticket marketing, billing procedures for forms, and handling of special ticket requests.
9. Hire, train, supervise, and schedule Performing Arts Center part-time employees as required.
10. Maintain and support customer and donor databases as required.
11. Support Performing Arts Center and other designated sites' marketing efforts as required.
12. Send email blasts through messaging systems and posts and maintain all online calendars with Performing Arts Center and other designated sites' events.
13. Act as "manager-on-duty" and/or provide day-of-event support for Performing Arts Center and other designated sites' events and activities as needed.
14. Assists with outreach for all PAC events to ensure the community is aware of upcoming events.
15. Manage concessions staff during events at the PAC.
16. All other duties assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supervises two or more part-time employees in box office and other PAC departments as required.
  • Hires and supervises Clark State student employees as required.
  • Provides work direction to volunteers supporting box office and business operations as required.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training part-time employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree required in relevant field of study.
    • Associate's Degree with requisite level of experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in venue box office and/or business office is required.
    • Minimum of two years of venue box office, business office and/or front-of-house supervisory experience is preferred.
    • Intermediate knowledge of principles of database management, marketing, and donor management, as demonstrated through education and/or experience is preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of accounting, billing, and settlement as demonstrated through education and/or experience is strongly preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of customer service as demonstrated through education and/or experience is strongly preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of performing arts center operations as demonstrated through education and/or experience is strongly preferred.
      SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      • High level of skill in customer service
      • High level of skill in computerized accounting systems and computerized ticketing systems
      • General accounting experience (accounts receivable/accounts payable; settlement)
      • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a team environment
      • Accurate and detail oriented
      • Strong interest in and appreciation of venue management
      • Supervisory skills
      • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
      • Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and calendaring systems
      • Presentation skills to provide training and financial updates
        CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
        • Ability to be bonded
        • Valid Ohio driver's license
          LANGUAGE SKILLS

          Ability to read, analyze and interpret general busienss periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
          MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

          Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
          REASONING ABILITY

          Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
          PHYSICAL DEMANDS

          While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
          WORK ENVIRONMENT

          The work is performed in an office-like environment with a minimal amount of noise.
