Pathology Lab Manager - Full Time

Up to $85,000 Annually based on experience



Connected Health Care - is actively recruiting for a full time, Pathology Laboratory Manager for one of our clients near Springfield, Ohio.



The Pathology Laboratory Manager is a valuable member of a Leadership Team and a collaborative clinical partner with Physicians, clinical and support staff working to provide optimal care experiences for patients and their families. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Leader focused on delivering positive patient care outcomes and ensuring the success of the Laboratory team.

Pathology Lab Manager Opportunity:

• 
  
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the clinical laboratory, including: department staffing; quality control of lab testing, process and procedures; proficiency programs; materials management; trouble shooting/problem solving, and delivery of safe, quality patient care through coordination of interdepartmental services and information flow
  
• Responsible for: departmental budget management including: annual charge master review; assuring governmental regulatory compliance, development and implementation of new services/processes, maintenance and/or development of information systems
  
• Provides directional support/guidance by assisting lab employees with operational functions within their specific lab section activity
  
• Knowledge of clinical laboratory function/operation and access to resources both administrative and organizational required
  
• Responsible for team member engagement and retention through practices that promote communications, recognition, teamwork, and effective employee relations practices
  
• Ensure training and development of team members by identifying training needs and establishing initiatives to meet company/individual objectives
  
• Responsible for holding team members to the highest integrity and professionalism standards Resolve service and care issue, including patient inquires
  
  
  
  Qualifications:

  • 
    
  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college / university including courses in biological science.
    
  • License/Certification: HT(ASCP), HTL (ASCP), or CT (ASCP) Certification
    
  • Minimum three-year experience in an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory.
    
  • Minimum 3-5 years bench experience with demonstrated success with positions of increasing responsibility in a medical lab environment.
    
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills and leadership abilities
    
  • Organization skills, ability to multi-task, and work within specified deadlines and timetables is necessary.
    
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), people skills, reasoning ability, and appropriate independent judgment skills preferred.
    
  • Knowledge and standardization and quality control theory and ability to troubleshoot without present criteria.
    
  • Understanding of safety regulations, regulatory requirements, and statistical methods.
