Growing Construction Firm is seeking a skilled Safety Manager to
oversee a crew, and to ensure OSHA safety measures and
compliance.
This position requires weekly site visits local to the Columbus
area.
Bilingual in Spanish would be highly desired!

We are seeking a highly driven and dedicated Safety Manager to join
our dynamic team in the construction industry. This individual will
be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety and health,
ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The
successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and
maintaining safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and
providing safety training to all employees. This role requires a
proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background
in safety management and a deep understanding of OSHA regulations.
The Safety Manager will play a vital role in promoting a strong
safety culture within the organization, ensuring a safe and healthy
work environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage safety programs to ensure a safe
and compliant work environment.
2. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Provide safety training and education to all employees,
promoting a culture of safety awareness within the
organization.
4. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety
regulations, including OSHA.
5. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and
find ways to prevent them in the future.
6. Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and
provide regular reports to management.
7. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in
workplace safety and incorporate them into the organization's
safety policies and procedures.
8. Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during
safety inspections and audits.
9. Work closely with the management team to develop strategic plans
for improving safety performance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or 3+ years of hands on
experience as a Safety Manager.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role
within the construction industry.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification
preferred.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and
industry best practices.
5. Proficient in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
6. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and requirements.
7. Excellent training and presentation skills, with the ability to
effectively communicate safety protocols to all levels of
employees.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify
potential hazards and implement effective solutions.
9. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and safety
management software.
10. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to promote a culture
of safety within the organization.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
