Process Engineering Manager - Springfield, Ohio Essential Function: You will be responsible for the development and management of theProcess Engineering Department reporting to the Director of ManufacturingEngineering. Primarily responsible for ensuring continual improvement relatedto process, cost, production and overall quality of the products to meet bestin class capability. Personally responsible for driving improvements andmanaging manufacturing process standards.Youand your team will need to deliver high capability in a variety of processesincluding CNC, EDM, Wire Slicing, Chemical Etch, and Cleaning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --Manage engineers and co-opsresponsible for cross functional manufacturing systems.Improve and maintain processes by developing,validation, change control, process risk management, and root causeinvestigations --Support validation andchange management as a technical/process expert --Drive the development andimplementation of process engineering design and equipment standards to meetsafety, utilization, and yield metrics. --Investigate, drive, andassist in implementation of cost saving projects, process optimization, andproductivity improvements related to existing processes --Collaborate with theAdvanced Technology team to implement, qualify, and drive continuousimprovements in next generation processes --Responsible for managingthe budget, timing, prioritization, and critical deliverables of the team tomeet the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representativeof the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. --Requires a Bachelor's orMaster's Degree in an Engineering orScience discipline (B. S.) or equivalent; and at least eight years relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience --A minimum 5 years ofexperience in direct management of technical resourcesis required --Ability to perform complexanalysis and deliver a strong technical solution is required --Ability to workcross-functionally within Employer and with customers is required --Ability to analyze anddrive process capability based on data analysis and business needs --Ability to prioritizeactivities for the team and provide a strong technical and business case --Ability to conceptualizeand develop new processes to improve performance and meet customer requirements --Excellent communication andcollaboration skills, including ability to manage through ambiguity, whiledemonstrating courage as required.Influencedecision making through supporting data, presentation skills, and communicationstyle --Statistical analysis, validation,and process improvement experience.Riskmanagement and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) experience is required --Problem Solving -Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and globalizing thesolution.This applies toboth production processes and business processes owned by Engineeringdepartment --Project Management -Develops project plans and communicates changes, progress, and risks throughthe projects --Innovation - Displaysoriginal thinking, creativity and resourcefulness which generate innovativeapproaches and ideas --Ability to make effectiveand persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics toproduction personnel, top management and public groups --Ability to utilize computerapplications such as; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, , Manufacturingsoftware (ERP/MES), Database software, and Statistical programs (Minitab/JMP) Physical Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals withdisabilities to perform the essential functions.Whileperforming the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to standand use hands to handle or feel.Theemployee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.The employee isoccasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, orcrawl and; talk or hear.
