ClinicWork ScheduleFull-time positions are available at 32 or 36
hours per week. Shift start times vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00
AM.Salary range: Minimum $50/hour, mid-point $62.10/hour.Location:

and compassionate Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our
Pre-Anesthesia Consult Clinic team. As part of our highly skilled
team, you'll play a key role in preparing patients for safe
anesthesia care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children
and their families.Job OverviewThe Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
will work within our Pre-Anesthesia Consult Clinic, providing
comprehensive evaluations and care to pediatric patients scheduled
for anesthesia. The APP will assess patient health status, review
medical history, conduct physical exams, and collaborate with
anesthesia providers and the care team to ensure a safe anesthetic
experience for each patient. This role will also include
participation in the Periop SHOPPE, a multidisciplinary system
designed to optimize patient care before surgery. The
Pre-Anesthesia Consult Clinic role typically accounts for 0.2 to
0.3 FTE, with full orientation occurring approximately 9-12 months
post general orientation completion.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct
pre-anesthesia assessments for pediatric patients, including
medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic
evaluations.Provide education and counseling to patients and
families regarding anesthesia risks, benefits, and
procedures.Collaborate with the anesthesia team to develop
individualized anesthesia plans for each patient.Order and
interpret necessary lab work and diagnostic tests prior to
procedures.Coordinate with other specialists to ensure
comprehensive care for patients with complex medical
conditions.Document patient information and care plans accurately
in the electronic health record.Provide post-consultation support,
answering any questions or concerns from patients and
families.Assist with quality improvement initiatives and clinical
education within the department.Periop SHOPPE ProgramThe Periop
SHOPPE is a comprehensive system designed to evaluate and optimize
the medical, behavioral, and social complexities of patients prior
to surgery. Through this service, the team creates an organized
multidisciplinary care plan for:Increase patient access in a safe
and comprehensive manner.Decrease delays and same-day
cancellations.Reduce safety events.Streamline day-of-surgery
processes.Improve satisfaction for patients, families, and
employees.QualificationsMaster's degree in nursing.Active and
unrestricted certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the
state of Ohio.Previous pediatric experience, particularly in
anesthesia, perioperative, or critical care, preferred but not
required.Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and
communication skills.Ability to work independently and
collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Excellent
interpersonal skills with a patient and family-centered
approach.Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to provide
