Position: Lead Radiology RNDepartment: Interventional RadiologyFacility: Atrium Medical CenterShift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pmStatus: Full-time/ 80 Hours Per Pay period*This position has an on-call requirement*The Lead Radiology Nurse is responsible for supervising employees, in all phases of the nursing process in the Radiology Department. Has Indirect reporting relationship to the VP/CNO for oversight of nursing services. Must provide oversight of expert, safe nursing care to patients while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Will lead the department in JCAHO/ISO compliance. The Lead Radiology RN has responsibilities for a functional area and must collaborate with others to achieve strategic objectives and unit based goals. Assist in communication of division and unit vision and goals, develops a team of highly skilled staff, and ensures cost effective and efficient use of resources for optimum outcomes. The Lead Radiology RN is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The Lead Radiology RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The Lead Radiology RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The Lead Radiology RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The Lead Radiology RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The nursing team leader is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.EducationMinimum Level of Education Required: Associate degreeAdditional requirements: Type of degree: Nursing Area of study or major: N/A Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelors Degree Position specific testing requirement: If the candidate does not possess a BSN or higher, Certification in area of specialty is required within 6 months of hireLicensure/Certification/Registration Valid Ohio RN license Current CPR certification required at the time of hire.
