A-Line Staffing is now hiring Remote Prior Authorization Specialists in Ohio. The Prior Authorization Specialist would be working for a Fortune 500 Managed Care company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40 hours per week. Must live in the state of Ohio Prior Authorization Specialist Compensation The pay for this position is $23.00 per hour Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Prior Authorization Specialist Highlights This position starts as a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm EST 100% remote (Must reside in Ohio) Prior Authorization Specialist Responsibilities Assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations. Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list. Route to appropriate staff when needed. Data enters authorizations into the system. Prior Authorization Specialist Requirements 1 year of previous authorization processing experience in the healthcare / managed care field Data entry skills Must be familiar with medical terminology Good communication skills and the ability to maintain efficiency in the workplace and effective in a team environment.
