43130 Duration: 3 Months to Long term Shift: 07:00AM-05:00PM (M-F)
Hours/week: 40 hours/week Job description: Searching for a
physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal
medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is
experienced in primary care to provide on-site services on a
full-time basis to the male population at this lower security
prison. Schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays -
and is flexible based on needs of facility, but core hours are
typically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Selected physician will
see approximately 2.5 patients/hour. Assignment will last at least
3 months and may be extended based on good fit and mutual need.
On-call coverage is not required but may be requested after 3
months then implemented only if there is mutual agreement.
Physician Duties • Working collaboratively with intra and
interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients
utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting
utilizing an electronic health record system • Conducting exams and
writing evaluations and reports • Ordering and interpreting
diagnostic testing • Managing medication • Completing
reclassifications and other reviews as indicated • Making referrals
for specialized care or treatment • Performing duties in accordance
with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and
related American Correctional Association standards • Participating
in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities,
including peer reviews • Engaging in collaborative agreements, as
needed • Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients/hour Requirement: •
Healthcare-professional level CPR certification • Ohio Medical
License • Drug Enforcement Administration certification from
Ohio
