Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,179 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Telemetry – Ohio Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts; weekend shifts vary based on unit needs Highlights: Work in a specialized corrections healthcare unit serving oncology and medical-surgical patient populations Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for PCU, 1:4-5 for MS, ensuring quality care delivery 72 hours of orientation to support your transition into the role EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management Opportunity to float to various units within the oncology tower, expanding your clinical expertise Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Requirements: Current RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification current and valid EPIC charting system experience required Oncology experience preferred but not required Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role) Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Clinical Skills: Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience with cardiac monitoring capabilities Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias using unit-based telemetry Chemotherapy administration and monitoring experience preferred IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and starting IVs Management of cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, and heparin protocols Titration of insulin drips and IV insulin protocol management Pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure management Accessing and managing ports for oncology patients Respiratory care including external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management Feeding tube care and management Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients in a corrections healthcare setting Oncology diagnoses including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies Patients undergoing oncology workup or with history of cancer Medical-surgical conditions including COPD, CHF, sepsis, neutropenic fevers, and post-operative care Daily census of approximately 12 patients Why It's a Great Opportunity: This unique position combines oncology and medical-surgical nursing in a secure corrections healthcare environment, offering you the chance to serve an underserved patient population while expanding your clinical competencies.
