qualified Oncology RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Oncology Registered
Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Chemo
Certified Duration: 13-16 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 -
07:30); Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required License:
Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo

Description: This position focuses on caring for patients diagnosed
with acute leukemia. The nurse will primarily support newly
diagnosed acute leukemia patients. The goal staffing ratio is 1:4,
but it can extend to 1:5 in certain situations. There is a heavy
focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
prevention. The nurse will work directly with an interdisciplinary
team including physical therapy, radiology, and pharmacy, among
others. Candidates are expected to have experience in telemetry
monitoring and administering chemotherapy. Candidates should be
knowledgeable in handling bodily fluids post-chemotherapy and
monitoring lab values. Telemetry interpretation skills are
essential for this role. The ability to manage central lines and
administer blood products is required. Self-scheduling requests are
