Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/10/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring strong cardiac medication and telemetry skills on night shifts. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is based in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit - 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Assignment requires working every other weekend - Floating to all units within skill level may be required - No on-call responsibilities - Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for assigned patients - May assist in supervising and teaching non-RN staff including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries - No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted for this assignment /n /n Requirements/n - Active OH or compact RN license required and must be verified on Nursys - Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required - Competency with cardiac medications including titration and application - Must be skilled in telemetry and able to interpret heart rhythms - Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient status, with strong critical thinking skills - Knowledge of stroke signs and symptoms required - Strong communication skills required - Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required - Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-670229.
