Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,269 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required. License: Valid state license required. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Epic charting experience required. - Experience with oncology patients preferred but not required. Description: This position involves working in a secure corrections environment. You will float to various medical-surgical units as needed. Staff safety is a priority in this locked unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 for the progressive care unit and 1:4-5 for medical-surgical assignments. Positions may include assignments to both progressive care and medical-surgical units. Patient diagnoses include active oncology and non-oncology cases requiring various medical treatments. You will be responsible for cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including the management of dysrhythmias. Additional responsibilities include IV therapy, blood product administration, and care for feeding tubes and hemodialysis patients. You will use medication and documentation systems for patient management. Experience with the management of oxygen therapies and airway care is expected. Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare services. Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and protective equipment protocols.
