Select Sires Inc., a leader in bovine genetics and reproductive services, is looking for a dedicated Livestock Technician Feeder to join our team. The role focuses on the feeding and general care of livestock, particularly cattle, ensuring optimal health and productivity in line with our goal to enhance dairy and beef production worldwide. This position requires knowledge of animal nutrition, health maintenance, and safe feed handling practices. Prepare and distribute feed according to specific dietary requirements. Monitor animal health, report any illnesses or abnormalities, and administer treatments as directed. Maintain cleanliness and biosecurity of animal enclosures and feeding equipment. Record and maintain accurate feed and health data for analysis. Collaborate with other farm staff to implement breeding and health protocols. Ensure compliance with all safety and biosecurity guidelines. Knowledge of animal nutrition and health. Ability to operate and maintain feeding equipment. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Animal Nutrition or Health Management is advantageous.
