Operate a tractor-trailer or flatbed efficient and safe manner following all applicable laws and company policies. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Load and unload cargo while ensuring securement of the load according to safety guidelines and customer specifications. Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status, adhering to federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that arise. Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible. Maintain a positive attitude with customers, building relationships and representing the company professionally at all times. Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Proven ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Load management skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
