And our work depends on an Oracle PL/SQL Web Developer joining our team to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) activities located remotely. The preferred location is onsite in St. Louis, MO. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include: Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs. Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures Performs and may provide guidance on all phases of the software development lifecycle Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs May provide guidance for less-experienced software developers in creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application Performs and provides guidance on software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs Provides relevant analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status Thoroughly documents the software or system process for future maintenance and updates May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced professionals WHAT YOULL NEED: BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems 5 years of experience in a professional capacity Software Development experience, preferably within the Web and Oracle PL/SQL Tech Stack Experience on multiple Agile engagements with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools (preferably VersionOne) to enhance project efficiency and quality Strong facilitation skills to assist with discovery workshops and collaborate closely with the Scrum Master, Technical Team Lead, Solutions Architect, and the rest of the development team Effective in internal knowledge sharing, coaching, and collaboration activities and initiatives liaison between business and technical teams DESIRED A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred Experience in one or more of the following: (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Unix) WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: Full-flex work week 401K with company match Challenging work that makes a real impact on the world around you Diverse, highly collaborative teams The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years.
