our customers. The Warehouse Lead has general responsibility for
coordinating and overseeing warehouse activities under the
direction of the on-duty Manager daily to ensure full and efficient
operations of the Warehouse. What you will be doing as a key player
on our dynamic team: Picks and stages customer orders to prepare
them for delivery. Coordinates customer pick up and Will Call
orders and demonstrates concern for the customer in every
interaction; ensures excellent customer experience. Verifies
paperwork to ensure that all product is properly picked and
counted. Ensures pipe and strut deliveries are accurate and free of
damage and errors; records damage and provides data to manager.
Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all material handling
equipment by providing instruction on use and training if
certified. Identifies process improvement opportunities and works
with the Warehouse Manager to implement changes as needed. Assists
in loading delivery trucks and ensures accuracy. Acts as a resource
to other Warehouse associates and follows-up on tasks that are
assigned to determine if completed correctly and timely. Assists
the Warehouse Manager with the daily resourcing of associates as
needed to make sure all tasks are completed on the shift across all
departments. Monitors overall process for bottlenecks, backlogs, or
issues and escalates to Supervisor and Manager as necessary. Offers
guidance and support to other Warehouse associates as needed;
follows instructions and guidance from manager and does not act as
a supervisor without direction. Works with Warehouse Manager to
assist with identifying training needs relating to duties,
responsibilities, data systems and other training. Creates process
improvement documentation under the direction of the Warehouse
Manager to be used throughout functions. Experience : 2 years of
experience in a warehouse environment or laydown yard Experience
driving forklift, required Ability to operate pallet jack and RF
Scanner Experience using Eclipse data system, preferred Experience
in a leadership role, preferred Core Competencies : Ability to
establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal
supervision. Courteous and friendly disposition with the ability to
interact with and maintain effective relationships with internal
and external customers. Confidence in decision making,
troubleshooting ability and problem solving. Highly organized and
detail oriented. Basic computer and math skills. Experience
interacting with an integrated, multifunction system such as
Eclipse. Ability to use a computer, keyboard and mouse including
data entry and making intelligent and effective use of available
information. Education : High School Diploma or GED Essential Job
Functions: Lifting/Carrying: Regularly required to lift, carry,
push and pull pipe and related materials weighing up to 75 pounds
independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance or mechanical
equipment. Standing/Walking: Prolonged standing and walking on
uneven surfaces throughout the workday. Climbing/Balance: Frequent
climbing onto and off equipment and trucks; maintaining balance
while working at heights or on uneven terrain.
Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Regular bending, stooping, kneeling,
and crouching to load/unload and secure pipe. Hearing/Speaking:
Ability to hear instructions, communicate effectively with
coworkers, and respond to safety signals in a noisy, outdoor
environment. Vision: Specific vision abilities required include
close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and
the ability to adjust focus to safely perform tasks.
Reaching/Handling: Frequent reaching, grasping, and handling of
pipe, tools, and powered equipment. Environmental Conditions: Work
performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat,
cold, rain, snow), with regular exposure to dust, dirt, loud
noises, and moving equipment. PPE Use: Must be able to wear and
maintain required personal protective equipment (safety shoes,
gloves, high-visibility vest, etc.) as directed. EEO and
