Job Description:

seeking a committed and professional CDL Class A Truck Driver for
regional routes. At Ryder, we pride ourselves on fostering a

their potential. As part of our fleet, you will play a crucial role
in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chains and
ensuring the timely delivery of goods, reflecting our commitment to
excellence and client satisfaction. Safely operate a
tractor-trailer to transport goods to various regional
destinations. Ensure timely delivery of freight as per schedule,
adhering to all company and regulatory policies. Inspect vehicles
for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative
maintenance as required. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules,
coordinating with dispatchers effectively. Comply with truck
driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations,
parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and
procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions,
and ensure correct and secure loading of the vehicle. Document and
log work/rest periods, kilometres spent driving, and retain
fuel/toll receipts. Report defects, accidents, or violations and
handle unforeseen situations from weather conditions or road
emergencies. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean
driving record. Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules
and regulations. Experience with electronic equipment and software
(GPS, AVL units, CB). Ability to handle physical workload and to
secure cargo effectively. Excellent geographical knowledge and
route planning skills. Strong time management and customer service

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). No recent moving
or driving violations. Passed DOT physical exam and drug screening.
Current TWIC card may be required based on client contracts.
