Operate a Class A truck to transport goods and materials with adherence to scheduled routes and timelines. Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to truck driving and transportation of goods. Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as required. Plan routes efficiently and adjust routes to meet customer needs or road construction constraints. Document and log work/rest periods, retain fuel/toll receipts, and maintain accurate records as per company and DOT regulations. Report defects, accidents, or violations and ensure the security of cargo at all times. Provide excellent customer service and handle paperwork related to deliveries. Strong driving record with proficiency in operating Class A trucks Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to navigate various electronic and manual logging and tracking systems Skills in minor vehicle repair and a keen attention to detail Robust physical health to meet the demands of long-haul truck driving Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) Additional endorsements such as Hazardous Materials (HazMat) are preferred but not required
