Cape Fox Federal Integrators (CFFI) is seeking an experienced Operational Medical Clinic (BOMC) Human Factors Engineer.  The Wright-Patterson Base Operational Medical Clinic (BOMC) Human Factors Engineer provides a high degree of competency to analyze, design, create, prototype, and evaluate clinical workflows with the goal of improving the overall usability of processes and minimizing work complexity.  The Human Factors Engineer supports the U.S. Air Force Base Operational Medical Clinic (BOMC) and requires a Tier 1 background check clearance. Duties are below:

Analyze, design, create, prototype, and evaluate clinical workflows with the goal of improving the overall usability of processes and minimizing work complexity.

Design and validate workflow packages for deployment to medical treatment facilities across the Air Force Medical Service.

Design and maintain the Air Force Medical Home-related elements of the enterprise knowledge management user interface.

Analyze and validate user deficiency reports, and using proven human factors methodologies and tools, recommend changes that will improve overall usability.

Plan and execute usability evaluations in clinical user environments, recommend process improvements to improve usability, and implement approved recommendations.

Demonstrate ability to critically think, problem solve, and effectively communicate through both writing and speech.

Apply knowledge of and demonstrate ability in: user needs analysis, task flow analysis, process modeling, interface/tool design, usability testing and statistical data analysis; systems thinking concepts and systems approaches; usability and user-centered design; and Six Sigma, Lean Management, and Change Management

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in engineering psychology, human factors engineering, experimental psychology, cognitive psychology, industrial engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in human factors engineering.

Minimum of 2 years of human factors experience applied in the healthcare sector.

Professional certification: Certified Human Factors Professional (CHFP).

Employee must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place to mitigate transfer of any confidential, proprietary and/or sensitive information while in this position.

The candidate must be able to pass a Tier 1 background check clearance.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
