Position Overview
Navistar Springfield Assembly Plant is currently seeking a Materials Consultant to join our Team.
The Materials Consultant works with multiple groups to determine correct PBA (Part Break Authorization) dates including engineering, purchasing, program teams, launch teams, supply chain and manufacturing in addition to coordinating with the other manufacturing plants. Determine how to disposition surplus. Create calendar for standard PBA that is followed by all plants. Develops and implements policies and procedures concerning PBA and RRB (Release Review Board) that affects all plants.
Responsibilities

• 
  Reviewing engineering releases on RRB as final step prior to being completed to make sure they can be implemented at the plants for smooth transition and with least amount of surplus
  
  
• 
  Implementing and adjusting PBA dates on engineering releases
  
  
• 
  Apply and manage GM point breaks for line 2
  
  
• 
  Assist in determining disposition of surplus
  
  
  Minimum Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor's degree
    
    
  • 
    At least 5 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
    
    
    OR
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Master's degree
      
      
    • 
      At least 3 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
      
      
      OR
      
      • 
        
      • At least 7 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience

        • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
