Schedule: Full-Time - Monday-Friday - 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $17-$18 per hour
Facility: State Correctional Institution (All-Male, Security Levels 1 & 2)

Job Description:

A-Line Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Health Information Technician to join the team at a large correctional facility in Chillicothe, OH. In this role, you will support the medical team by managing health records-both paper and electronic-while assisting with administrative tasks that help ensure timely, accurate, and secure handling of inmate health information.

Responsibilities:

Organize, maintain, and retrieve paper and electronic medical charts.


Assist with Medicaid enrollment processes and documentation.


Perform scheduling duties, including appointments with doctors and healthcare providers.


Provide occasional in-person support and communication with incarcerated individuals in a secure and professional manner.


Ensure compliance with facility guidelines and confidentiality standards.


Navigate a large facility that requires frequent walking between departments.



Qualifications:

1+ years experience in a medical records/health information tech role required


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook required).


Experience managing electronic medical records (EMRs) strongly preferred.


Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.


CPR certification is a plus.


Experience with scheduling or coordination of care is a plus.


Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a secure environment.



Additional Information:

This position is located in an all-male correctional facility with Security Levels 1 and 2. Candidates must be comfortable working in a correctional environment and able to comply with facility security protocols.
