We're looking for talented Lean Manufacturing Technicians in our brand new Springfield, Ohio location who share our mission to deliver innovative, high tech solutions to our customers. Lean Manufacturing Technicians at Silfex can expect: To provide support and work directly with, but not limited to different levels of Silfex Management, Supervisors, Leads, and external consultants in a change management environment. The focus is on systemic processes to improve performance, inclusive of management and business systems. Bring your PDCA based approach to achieving improved production capabilities based on Continuous Improvement methodologies. If you can: Plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives. Diagram and evaluate existing processes and organize, lead, and facilitate cross-functional project teams and Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Perform studies and collect data to identify the root cause of most significant issues and ensures the necessary actions are properly assigned and implemented. Measure performance against process requirements and align improvement to performance shortfalls. Provide consultation on techniques to improve process performance and product quality. Use various software packages to create spreadsheets, text documents, database documents and visual presentations. Facilitate/support training and presentations focused on Lean Manufacturing topics, process improvement/problem solving methodologies, system reviews, and methods to remove current/potential barriers. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to management to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Apply Lean Manufacturing concepts, including 5S, Value Stream Maps, Visual Controls, Kanbans, Standard Work and Waste Identification. Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Benchmarks external companies for fresh improvement ideas. Lean Manufacturing and project management experience (preferred). An Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume while applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to work effectively, individually, and in a team environment.
