This role involves coordinating the collection of random samples from production batches and conducting a wide variety of complex testing processes to measure the physical characteristics of products. The position is a long term opportunity and on 3rd shift, from 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Monday-Friday (Sunday night - Friday morning). Responsibilities Follow batch ticket recipes with a high degree of accuracy for weights and measurements. Perform complex testing processes on production batches to measure the product's physical or chemical characteristics, including viscosity, weight per unit of measure, flow, gloss, and color characteristics compared with standards. Conduct tests on materials from suppliers and production batches. Perform standard testing procedures, including preparation of materials, with attention to detail and high quality. Follow daily work plans for Lab Work Requests or project plans. Accurately document work in lab notebooks, either physical or electronic. Maintain and perform calibrations on machines. Qualifications Not color blind Prior quality/wet lab experience or entry level graduate with AS or BS in Science High School Diploma or equivalent required Previous manufacturing environment preferred Previous customer service experience preferred PLUS: experience working with paint, pigments, coatings SHIFT : 3rd shift M-F 10pm-6:30am (shift starts up Sunday evening at 10pm and ends on Friday at 6:30am). Training will be on 1st - 6:00am-2:30pm (last ~3 weeks) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.25 - $25.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
